Services
Regulate the construction and modification of public swimming pools.
Before construction or modification of a public pool, written approval must be obtained from this office. Construction and modification plans must be prepared, signed and sealed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Florida. Examples of modifications which would require approval include non-equivalent changes or additions to filtration and treatment equipment or to the pool structure.
Public swimming pools are inspected twice yearly in Broward County.
