To prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to the public, the Broward County Health Department Radiation Control Program operates cooperatively with the Bureau of Radiation Control Opens in a new browser  on Florida’s radiation control programs:

 

 Services:

  • Respond to radiation incidents and allegations.
  • Inspect radioactive material licensees.
  • Inspect radiation machines and Radiological Technologist Certifications

In the event of an incident, damage, loss, theft, spill, or contamination involving radioactive materials, or exposure from radiation-producing equipment, immediately call 911, or for State Radiation Emergency Notification and Assistance call: (407) 297-2095.
