Fort Lauderdale Health Center: Under Construction

 

 

The Health Department Central Campus consists of 3 buildings.  The Ft. Lauderdale Health Center is currently being renovated.  You can request Birth and Death certificates from the Vital Statistics office, in the 2-tone beige Operations Building.

From the North or South

  1. Take I-95 North (or South) to SR-84 exit, exit number 25
  2. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp (northbound)
  3. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp (southbound)
  4. Merge onto SR-84 EAST
  5. Stay in the 2nd far right lane
    (the far right lane will turn before reaching 6th avenue)
  6. Take SR 84 East to SW 6th Avenue 
    pass traffic lights at 15th, 14th, and 9th Avenues
  7. Turn Right onto SW 6th Avenue (no traffic light)

From the West

  1. Take I-595 and go East 
    E becomes I-595 E/FL-84
  2. Take the SR-84 EAST exit, exit number 10
  3. Merge onto FL-84
  4. Stay in the 2nd far right lane 
    (the far right lane will turn before reaching 6th avenue)
  5. Take SR 84 East to SW 6th Avenue 
    pass traffic lights at 15th, 14th, and 9th Avenues
  6. Turn Right onto SW 6th Avenue (no traffic light)

From the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport

  1. US Route 1 (Federal Highway) North to State Road 84
  2. Turn Left onto State Road 84 West
    (then pass traffic light at Andrews Ave. & RR tracks)
  3. Turn Left onto SW 6th Avenue (no traffic light)

Campus Directions

  • Fort Lauderdale Health Center
    • Turn Right into the first BCHD parking lot entrance
  • Operations Center
    • Turn Right into the second BCHD parking lot entrance
  • Administrative Center
    • Continue to SW 26th Street
    • Turn Right on to SW 26th Street
    • Turn Right into the fourth BCHD parking lot entrance
